We started the week off with a fun family party for Miss Ella. Ella’s dinner pick was Mama Patrina’s pasta sauce on various types of noodles. Mom said “Great! Easy and delicious!”
The birthday girl raked in the presents and topped it off with a Hannah Montana ice cream cake from Maggie Moo’s. We even had a Highschool Musical piñata. (The two things Ella asked for her birthday were a cat and piñata. For the betterment of our sanity, we chose the latter.)
On Wednesday, Ella took her cupcakes to school to share with her class. They all sang Happy Birthday at snack time. Ella proudly told us that classmate JD said happy birthday to her all day long.

On Thursday – the real birthday- we had an action packed plan! We stopped at Eckert’s to visit Norma who loaded Ella up on princess gifts. Then we were off to Build-A-Bear to make a Hello Kitty. Sixty dollars later (sheesh), we strutted out with a very-decorated Miss Kitty. Off to Olive garden we went for an Ella-favorite lunch. I am not sure if the noodles were the best part lunch or if it was the singing of “Bona Festa” by all the servers!

Now we are recovering at home. Afterall, even an 5 year old can get worn out from birthday-ness!
To Ella, our birthday princess:
Happy 5th birthday from your Mom and Dad! We will love you forever!
