Kimonos in the House

For dinner on thursday, we hosted the Rotary Group Study Exchange Team from Southern Japan. Fortunately our countertops were installed 2 days before!!!

Ella enjoyed the Kimonos worn by the women, Sachi, Mika and Chie. (It takes 30 minutes to get dressed in a kimono by the way.) Each kimono was uniquely designed in their home region. They all live in southern Japan near a volcano in Kogoshima. Kogi, the group leader, said it is especially annoying when the volcano errupts because everything in the town is dusty!
Mika enjoyed holding Theo because she missed her 3 year-old son back in Japan.

It was fun to share a meal with the 6 travelers and local rotarians and to learn more about Japan.
