Terrific Tuesday!

Today was a big day in the house of Eckert! We had Ella's first parent-teacher conference. It was terrific. The teacher told us she enjoys having Ella tremendously!! She also noted Ella has become more comfortable with school over time and is having a lot of fun with the other kids. Yea!! Over the next few weeks the class will be working on numbers so we will do a little practicing at home too.

It was also a big day for Mr. Theo. He has been sitting on a potty at day care for several weeks. Tuesday was his first time to actually "go" in the potty. His teacher said he almost scared himself when it happened! Ha! This is a big deal because Theo has had zero interest in the potty at home. Yea progress. He even got a certificate for going potty for the first time. Ah, to be a kid again.

side note: It is fun to slow down and appreciate the little things that make being a mom so rewarding! I was one proud momma today!


Decorating our Halloween House a few weeks back. Suspiciously a little bit of the candy decor disappears from the house walls each day. The only leads we have are a little stool pulled up to the countertop and a few crumbs across the floor. The household detectives are stumped. . . .
