Last night Eckert's Wine Class was held in the vineyard next to our house. This was our first wine class "in the field."
The Eckert's food staff came up to the house to use our kitchen for food prep. We paired foods with each wine my dad selected to serve. Chris presented the wines and their background info to our 45 plus crowd seated along the vineyard. We were certainly kept on our toes by bringing out 6 different mini-courses throughout the evening.
Ella was a vital part of the food prep team! She proudly donned rubber gloves and plated the fresh herbs and vegetables as directed by the staff. She even made sure she and Theo had aprons on. Theo was less interested in food prep and more interested in the little wine pouring mechanisms. He attached one to his water bottle and played with it for over an hour. I drew the line at letting him sleep with a wine pourer!!
Although the day was hot, the evening was pleasant. Lana's food creations were amazing and we all had fun hosting customers in "our yard." I failed to get photos of the helpers. Enjoy the photos of the set up!
