1. Getting 2 t-ball sets for Theo's birthday. No sharing necessary. One for each kid works great! Ella can hit the snot out of a plastic ball. Who knew?!
2. Great weather almost every night. We eat out on the patio most nights and watch the bats fly around in search of insects. They are most likely "little brown bats" residing in our trees for the summer. Did you know they live for 33 years? We learned all kinds of cool stuff about bats on wikipedia! I cannot remember a summer with so many gorgeous evenings.
3. The kids can entertain themselves with almost anything. Chris and I love watching them play while we cook dinner from the fresh homegrown veggies we bring home from Eckert's each night. This time of year makes fresh cooking so fun. What will we eat when the corn and tomatoes are gone?!?!?
4. A much needed trip to the lake is upcoming. We are all worn out from a busy peach season and a week of teaching bible school. The kids are thrilled about a chance to go swimming soon. Ella can't wait to wear new life jacket and to order onion rings at a restaurant on the Lake. And Theo is already talking a lot about "Dada's boat."
5. A soon-to-be reunion of dear friends. My cousin Jodi and her new baby Seneca are coming home in a few weeks. My grade school best friend Ali is coming in too! She and her son Liam will be visiting from Phoenix. I can hardly wait !!
